MARJORIE MACKAY 1921 - 2006 It is with sadness that Carol, Murdoch and Alex announce the passing of their mother Marjorie (Williams) MacKay at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Monday, July 17, 2006. She was predeceased by her husband M. Stanley MacKay (April, 1994); infant son (1950); her parents, Hector and Ane Williams; in-laws, Murdoch and Ida MacKay; and sister-in-law Ella Williams. She is survived by daughter Carol E. MacKay; and sons, S. Murdoch MacKay and J. Alexander MacKay, all of Winnipeg; brother E. Joseph Williams of Nanaimo, BC; brother-in-law John J. MacKay and wife Mary; and nieces and nephews in eastern and western Canada. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with our mother's wishes, a private family graveside service was held at Mountain View Cemetery with friend, Rev. Ed Long officiating. The family invited friends to join them in celebrating Marge's life in the Ballroom, at the Valhala Inn on Friday, July 21. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation, 980 Oliver Rd., Thunder Bay, ON P7B 6V4 or the Northern Heart Research Foundation, 79 North Court St., Thunder Bay, ON P7A 4T2 would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Marjorie MacKay in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 24, 2007.
