AGATHA (GAYE) MARY NEYEDLY It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful (in her sleep) passing of our beloved mother, nani, great-nani and sister July 17, 2006. Agatha was born in the Landshut District near Langenburg, SK the eldest daughter of Hedwig and Peter Kohnen. Mom's long career as a caterer was highlighted the year she had the honor of catering to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth during her state visit to Winnipeg. Mom and Dad moved to a small farm in Stony Mountain and then into their retirement home in town. Mom moved to The Hilltop Manor after Dad's passing. This spring she moved to Woodland Courts in Selkirk to be closer to the family members in the area... especially Nani's little princess Miss Belle and great-grandson Darrion. Children were always a special entity in Nani (Nans) and Poppa's (Grandpa, Gramps) life. Their grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to them. Many a happy hour was spent with grandchildren, Rick (Corina); Jodi (Tyler), Jon (Sammi) and Keith (Jean); Ryan and Michelle (Mike); Michael; Jillian and Jared; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Darrion and Annabelle. Family happy times are remembered at their summer place in Petersfield, their farm and house in Stony. Mom loved her plants, flowers and her garden. Everyone has a least one of mom's lovingly crocheted blankets as a memoir. We will all miss the joys of cooking, canning and baking favorite family recipes with our mother's special touch. Agatha was predeceased by her husband Len; their beloved son Bobby; mother and father, Peter and Hedwig Hohnen; and sisters, Joan Salkeld and Margaret Mitschke. To respect our mother's wishes her cremation has taken place. A private memorial for her children and their families will be held with interment to follow. Forever in our hearts and thoughts children, Lorne (Joyce), Loretta (Ted), David (Yvette), Mary (Dennis), Sara (Alfred); and grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Mary (Stan) Orsak; brothers, Hubert (Shirley) Kohnen and James (Darcine) Kohnen; and numerous nieces and nephews. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Mom's memory to the Children's Hospital to assist children with epilepsy, in care of C.E. 501-840 Sherbrooke St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1 or call 787-4000. Mom, nani, great nani we love you and will miss you. God speed...your family. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
