REV. WILLIAM J. PETERS 1905 - 2006 On Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Salem Home in Winkler, Rev. William J. Peters, aged 100 years, went to his eternal rest. He leaves to mourn his passing his four daughters, Mary Ann and Abe Braun of Altona, Esther Klassen of Winnipeg, Lydia and Pat Graham of Winnipeg, Barbara and Gerry Schmidt of Oak Bank; two sons, Bill and Dora Peters of Winkler, Henry and Elvera Peters of Altona; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one sister. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Maria (nee Born) in 1997, as well as one daughter, Martha in infancy; 10 brothers and sisters. Public viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home, 121 - 8th St. in Winkler on Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church, 252 - 6th St. with Pastors Peter Penner and Menno Janzen officiating.
