ROBERT (BOB) DAVID PATRICK KERR November 13, 1940 July 28, 2006 Peacefully, after a courageous battle against cancer, it is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Bob, on Friday, July 28 at 4:30 a.m., at the Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 65 years. Remaining to cherish Bob's memory are his children, Lynn, Lana, Patricia and Robert Jr.; stepchildren, Joanne (Jacques); Karen and Darlene (Mike); his stepmother, Deanie; step-sisters, Liesa, Jean and Sandra; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Louise; mother Edith; father Walter; and by a stepdaughter Sherri Rose. Bob worked for the Winnipeg Transit company for over 30 years, serving the citizens of Winnipeg. He was liked by all his fellow co-workers. His greatest hobby was his love for horse racing. He made many friends at the race tracks and at the Pembina Hotel. Bob was a dependable husband, father, grandfather and friend who was there to always help anyone in need. He was always trying to expand his mind with his love of crossword puzzles. On Wednesday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m., Bob's funeral service will be held in the Church of the Rock, 1397 Buffalo Place (McGillivray Blvd). Interment will take place in the St. Boniface Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff and the doctors at the HSC and Riverview Health Centre for the care that Bob received. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. I had a long shiver But I was not cold I trembled for a moment But I was not afraid I was blinded by its intense light And yet I saw everything clearly than ever before - By L.T.D Bob's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 4665
