LARRY RAYMOND AUSMAN With sadness we announce the passing of Larry Raymond Ausman, after a courageous battle with cancer Larry found peace on Tuesday, August 1, 2006. Larry is survived by his loving wife Trudy; his sons, Kevin, Paul, Mark, and Christopher; as well as Trudy's daughters, Michelle and Verna Stone. Also he is survived by his brothers, Ted, Eric and Brian. He was predeceased by his father Edward Murray and his mother Christina Elizabeth (Bette) (nee Acres). Larry was born in London, ON on September 11, 1945 and grew up in Toronto. He was a self made man, overcoming many obstacles while marching to the beat of his own drum. For many years he excelled in the field of sales, culminating in the achievement of his own successful business, Larry's Snoozzz Shop. As a young man Larry was a spirited and gifted athlete, shining at both hockey and baseball. Later he changed his focus to golf and to his involvement with the St. James Assiniboia Minor Baseball Association, serving as a coach, manager, umpire and convener. While residing at Birchpark Condominiums Larry also made a significant contribution as Maintenance Director and then President of the Board of Directors. Many thanks to the staff at Grace General Hospital and to the Palliative Care Program staff who facilitated his time at home. Larry was very appreciative of Drs. F. Renouf, S. Parham, P. Harris and the other doctors who participated in his care. A very special thanks to Major Faye Shail and Larry's best friend Marcus Buchan for their spiritual care and support of Larry and his family. A celebration of Larry's life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, at Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Dr. with Major Faye Shail officiating. Flowers gratefully declined, but if one so wishes, a donation to the St. James Assiniboia Minor Baseball Association, in care of 271 Morgan Cres., Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 0C9 would be appreciated.
