FERN ROSALIE MITCHELL HOLSTEIN (nee FINCH-FIELD) January 11, 1918 - July 30, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Fern Rosalie Mitchell Holstein with her son by her side on July 30, 2006 at the age of 88 at the Health Sciences Centre. Left to forever cherish her memory are her children, Dennis (Nikki) and Pamela (Brian); her grandchildren, Andrea, Mitchell, Sheena, Shane, Sean, Cody, Cory, Colt, and Jesica; as well as her brothers and sisters, Edward (Marjorie), Jack, Lois, and Edith; sisters-in-law, Kay and Muriel; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Ruth, siblings Horace, Gwen, Reg, Ron and Berke, her first husband of 26 years, Erle and her second husband of six years, Fred. Fern was a loving and caring person and was always there for all her family to help in one way or another. We'll be Loving You Always . The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff (her friends) at Sherbrook and Central Dialysis for seven years of compassionate care, Home Care, several wards at the Health Sciences Centre and Tuxedo Villa. A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Dixon officiating and a reception to follow. Interment at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave., will follow the reception.
