PETER ARNOLD FEELEUS Suddenly on August 4, 2006, Peter Arnold Feeleus, aged 68 years, passed away. Peter was born in the Netherlands and in 1953 immigrated to Canada, where he later met and married the love of his life Anne Ankie . Together they raised three children, Leo (Patricia), Karen (Abe) and Kevin (Marnie). Pete was blessed with five grandchildren that were the sparkle of his eye; Tyler, Amanda, Keanna, Ian and Keir. He leaves to mourn countless family and friends whom he touched in a deep and meaningful way; his brothers Leo (Truis), Len (Laura) and his sisters Dit, Rie, Laura (Court) share many warm and funny stories about our uncle boots . Also left to mourn are his brothers-in-law, Leo (Cathy) and Adrian (Janice), and his mother-in-law, whom he lovingly named Omatje . He was predeceased by his parents Gerarda and Aarnout Feeleus. In the early 70s Pete and his brother Leo worked tirelessly to establish the now successful Direct Auto Parts. In his legacy the business is still owned and run by many of his own family members including adopted son George . Pete was a very firm and outspoken man but he always made sure he was fair. He was a mentor to many and after the loss of his best friend Jack he opened his heart and home to Lies, Ron (Darcy) and Anita (Ken). Pete was an avid sports fan enjoying Saturday morning soccer games on TV and golfing with his buddies. He spent many hours coaching his son Leo's soccer team, guiding them to win the provincial soccer championship. Late in his life he embraced a zest for RVing along with Ankie wintering away in Arizona. Peter and Anne were married for 43 happy years. They were best friends, comfort and strength to each other. Our dad will leave a tremendous void that can never be filled. The love and strength we were taught will help us heal the pain. We will miss you forever with heavy hearts, we say good-bye, you will not be forgotten. We love you. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations to a charity of your choice. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
