REGIMENTAL #32645 S/SGT. B. J. LYNCH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian John Lynch, aged 50 years, on August 5, 2006 at Pine Falls Health Complex with his family at his side. Left to mourn his passing is his loving and devoted wife Barbara, sons Christopher Brian and Michael Allen, mother Veronica, brother Jim (Bride), sister Jo-Ann Malhotra (Kuldip), brothers-in-law Bill Allen (Cheryle), Barry Allen (Maddy), Bob Allen (Marianne) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his grand parents and his father, Francis Raymond on November 27, 2005. Brian was born on March 22, 1956 in Saint John, NB. He joined the RCMP on June 30, 1975 and was posted in Morden, Morris and The Pas, MB. Brian became a Dog Handler in April 1982 and served in Kamloops, BC and Brandon, MB. He left the section in July 1992 and became Detachment Commander at Boissevain, MB. Brian was then posted as the Operational NCO and then the Detachment Commander of Winnipeg River Detachment in Powerview, MB. He was very active in the communities in which he served, sitting on numerous committees and volunteering his time with the youth. Brian was married to Barbara (nee Allen) on June 18, 1977. They were blessed with their two sons, Chris in 1978 and Mike in 1981. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame du Laus Parish in Powerview, MB, with Fr. James Gray presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: CancerCare Manitoba, for Melanoma Research, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. The family wishes to thank Dr. R. Wong and staff at Cancer Care Manitoba, Dr. Mary Orr, RCMP, Health Services Officer and staff at the Cross Cancer Clinic in Edmonton, Alta.
