MARILYNN REID (nee AGAR) October 17, 1936 - August 7, 2006 Peacefully after a short courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret we announce the passing of Marilynn at the St. Boniface Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Marilynn leaves her loving husband of 48 years, Gordon; her twin sister Arlene and husband Ed Kynnersley of Penticton, BC; her aunt Gertrude Stewart and cousin Carol and husband Gary Munson. She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Julia Agar and in-laws John and Ev Reid. Marilynn was born in Winnipeg and lived here all her life. She began her long career at The Great West Life in 1954 and retired in June of 1995. Marilynn loved her cottage at Clearwater Bay, ON and spent many wonderful summers there. Marilynn had such humour, spirit and dignity throughout her brief battle with cancer that she made us all proud. Our family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors and support staff on 7A South at the St. Boniface Hospital for the wonderful care they gave Marilynn. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or the Palliative Care Program St. Boniface Hospital. A Celebration of Marilynn's Life will take place at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Thursday, August 10 at 6:00 p.m. Thomson Funeral Home 783-7211
