She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her only child, son Bob (Lois) and grandchildren, Michelle (Mike Watson), Michael (Tammy Chartier), Christopher (Kristie Chartier), along with her treasured great-grandchildren, Travis, Braiden, Paetyn Watson and Caleb and Claire Chartier. She is survived by her second husband of 52 years Victor Fedyszyn and brother Kenneth Paraschuk. Mom was born and raised in Meadowlands, MB. She was predeceased by her first husband Raymond in 1944 and by her parents William and Martha Paraschuk, along with her brothers and sisters. Her life was not without hardships. In 1944 with the passing of her first husband Raymond, with the help of her mother Martha, was left to raise her infant son Bobby on her own. Special blessings are extended to her mother Martha for the help she gave in raising Bob. Mom worked several jobs during that time, Murphy's Café, Golden Drugs and Eaton's. In 1955 she met Victor and they married and moved to Terrace Bay to start a new life. In 1956 they moved to Thunder Bay where they owned and operated the Barbque Drive In, serving the best homemade burgers and fries etc. for many years. Mom was a very good business woman and was able to retire in 1978. Mom's greatest treasures were her son Bob, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 1986 they moved back to Winnipeg where she could be closer to her son and his family. The last two years of her life were spent at Holy Family Nursing Home where she was cared for by the loving staff. Special thanks to nurses, June, Joan and Kathy. Caregivers, Debbie, Theresa and Sophia, along with several others. Special thanks as well to Sister Monica for her prayers. Dr. Babiak, Bob, Lois and family will never forget how you cared for Emily. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. to celebrate Mom's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2W 1T9. Dear Lord, take a message to my mother up above. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael and Christopher Chartier. Great-grandsons, Travis and Braiden Watson and Mike Watson. I'm Free Don't grieve for me now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. Lift up your hearts and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
