Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONNA YVONNE THIBODEAU (CHARBONNEAU) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend Donna Yvonne Thibodeau (Charbonneau) suddenly and peacefully in the early morning of August 3, 2006 at the age of 74. Donna leaves many to cherish her memory: her sons Clifford (Valerie), Joseph (Bridgette), Danny (Chris) and Barry, her daughter Sherry, her grandchildren Shawn, Lisa, Melissa, Andrea, Adam, Selena, Jodi, Lisa and Barry Jr., her great-grandchildren Renée, Haily, Sarah, Andrew, Julia, Catelyn, Tyler, Jordan, Randy and Cayden as well as her treasured cat Pebbles. She will also be missed by two of her most dear friends Alice and Vickie. Donna was predeceased by her husband of 12 years Ray, her mother Alice May, her father George and her brother Dean. Donna was born on February 5, 1932 in Winnipeg, MB to Alice May Sharpe and George Collins. She recalled fondly the times she spent visiting her grandparents farm, Sharpewood, as a child, chasing chickens and enjoying the fresh country air. Donna would later showcase her strength and independence by spending many years living on her own in the city, sharing her heart and her smile with others while working in home care, a job she truly loved. After she married her second husband Ray, she found herself enjoying country life once again, as they settled into their new home outside the city. Donna was often found with a bingo dabber in hand, enjoying a weeknight game out at the local hall or sitting next to her old record player and 8-track machine, which she assured us offered her a highly superior sound to anything she could buy nowadays. By far, one of her most favourite activities was spending quality time with her grandchildren, who were the jewels in her crown. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Donna's favourite charity, the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg. In times of joy and times of sorrow You saw us through to each tomorrow A mother Our mother Your gift to us your laughter, your love These gifts you gave like no other A mother Our mother And now an empty space we see A void within our family A mother Our mother Our tears they sting And heartache lingers for A mother Our mother Yet we know now you are at peace Your spirit soars, your soul released A mother Our mother And we shall never ever forget That in the light of dawn and each sunset is found A mother Our mother.
