STEPHEN (STEVE) N. KLASSEN 1950 2006 It is with deep sadness that the family of Steve Klassen announces his passing at the age of 56 on August 6, 2006 after a short battle with cancer. Steve will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Terry (nee Jackson) of Winnipeg; and his children, Bobbie Rose, Chad, Crystal (Brad) and Cory; as well as his granddaughters, Randi and Ke-Anna. Also left to mourn is his sister Barb (Gerald) Dirks; brother Mike (LeAnne) Klassen; mother and father in-law, Bud and Mae Jackson; sisters-in-law, Linda (Curtis) Coyle and Donna Jackson; brothers-in-law, Ray Jackson and Wayne (Susan) Jackson; grandmother-in-law Helen Argue; as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Doris Klassen. Steve was born in Carman, MB and spent his childhood growing up in Carman, Morden and Manitou. Later, he moved to Winnipeg where he was a roofer for many years. For the past ten years, he was employed at Duha Color Services. Steve was very competitive. He worked and played hard and battled many demons. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, 1050 Thornhill St. in Morden with Rev. Dorrie Flook officiating. Ash interment will follow at Manitou Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON109, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. The family would like to express our thanks to Dr. Fewer and the staff on 5A for the care and compassion they gave Steve during his stay at Health Sciences Centre.
