RUTH ESTHER GASTON November 16, 1921 - August 7, 2006 Ruth Esther Gaston was born November 16, 1921 in Jasper, AB, Canada to Catherine Louise Jones and Alfred Thomas Jones. She departed this life at Fred Douglas Care Centre, August 7, 2006. As a faithful member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, Ruth sang with joy like an angel in the choir. She lived and farmed in Dugald, MB for over 35 years, enjoying the company of her grandchildren for many summers. Mother Ruth will be missed by many. She was predeceased by her husband Marshal Gaston; sisters, Marie Whittaker and Lois Jones; brothers, Lionel Polk, Alfred Jones Jr. and Nathaniel Jones. She leaves, her daughter Rev. Ina Mae Copeland and husband Rev. Douglas Copeland; sister Grace James; grandsons, Michael Marshal Copeland (wife Lisa) and Arthur Ralph Douglas Copeland (wife Heidi); great-grandchildren, Taylor, Tori and Trey; niece and nephew Louise and Ralph Symonds and son Terrane and family, and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pilgrim Baptist Church, 41 Maple St., Winnipeg with interment to immediately follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
