Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN (STEVE) ROMANO Peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at the Betel Home in Selkirk, Steve Romano, aged 91 years, of Gonor. Steve was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary, in 2004, a sister Anne and brothers Bill, Mike, Harry and John. He leaves surviving his sons Ken, Bob (Peggy), Pat (Janet) and Chris (Shirley), two brothers Nick and Harold, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Steve was very dedicated to his church and to his family. He was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Church and former member of the Knights of Columbus. He had lived and farmed in Gonor all his life and was well known for producing world class vegetables. Prayers will be said on Thursday, August 10 (tonight) at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 11 at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Gonor, with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard. Steve's pallbearers will be Quincy Romano, Grant Anderson, Ron Bryer, Tim Holden, Russ Rankin and Randy White. Special thanks to the staff at the Betel Home in Selkirk for all the excellent care.
