JULIAN WINZINOWICH On August 7, 2006 following a lengthy illness, Julian Winzinowich passed away at Concordia Hospital at 71 years of age. Julian was born in Winnipeg, MB on July 2, 1935. He worked for North American Lumber for many years until his early retirement due to health reasons. He also enjoyed helping his wife caretake an apartment block, community club and a church hall in Transcona until her retirement. They then lived in the Kiwanis Homes of Winnipeg in East Kildonan for about 10 years. Following his wife's passing in 2002, Julian moved to the Donwood Manor where he made many new friends and enjoyed his final days. Julian was predeceased by his wife Evelyn, two sons, his parents, brothers and sister. He is survived by his children, Ronny (Gail), Debbie (Norral), Robert, Brenda, Sandra (Donny); also numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, August 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East in Beausejour, MB.
