DARLENE ROY (nee McMurray) November 12, 1936 - August 6, 2006 Peacefully after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer, Darlene, beloved wife of Lionel Roy, passed away at the Riverview Palliative Care Unit, in Winnipeg at the age of 69 years. In 2002, Darlene was predeceased by her loving husband Lionel. As well, she was predeceased by her father Leslie Carl McMurray and her brother Grant McMurray. Darlene resided in Picture Butte, AB and came to Winnipeg to be closer to family after her husband Lionel passed away. In keeping with Darlene's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A celebration of Darlene's life will be held in Alberta at a later date. She will be interred with her grandparents in Cardston, AB where she was born. Mom, we love you and will miss you always. Our loss is immeasurable, but eased with the knowledge that you are reunited with Lionel and all your loved ones that went before you. Love, your children, Michael, Charlene, Leslie and Kim, as well as your loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
