Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGWENDOLINE PAMELA ZELMER (nee SEARY) It is with great sadness her family announces the sudden passing of Gwen on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at St. Boniface General Hospital with family by her side. Gwen will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her husband of 55 years, Norman; daughters, Catherine Proulx (David) and Cynthia Morris (Christopher). In addition to raising two daughters, Gwen worked all her life in retail. She started at T. Eaton Co. in groceries and bakery and retired from Westfair Foods after 28 years. Gwen had a listening ear which developed into friendships with many of her customers. Some of her pastimes included playing the piano, sewing, knitting, baking (she was the best shortbread baker), reading avidly and outings at Rainbow Stage. Gwen enjoyed life, learning to skate in her forties, to swim in her fifties, and to drive in her sixties. She will be missed by her puppy , Rosebud. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 14 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with Ron Hampton officiating. The family wishes to thank the First Responders, Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service, the staff of St. Boniface Emergency Department and Medical Intensive Care Unit for their care and kindness.
