SHIRLEY EVANS 1927 - 2006 Shirley passed away peacefully August 9, 2006 at Grace Hospital with her family by her side. She is survived by her brother Jack and wife Janice and sister-in-law Helga; nieces and nephews, Barbara Grant (Bill), Carole Hansen (Dave), Robert Evans, Kimberley Evans, Donald Evans (Terri), Diana Hopkins (Larry). Great-nieces and nephews, Heather, Larry, Ryan, Chrissy, Shane, Crystal, Michelle, Jeffery, Christopher, Daniel, Kayla, Keaton, Brandon, Lauren, Taylor, Samantha, Tempest, Christin and great-great-niece Emily. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Edna and Isaac Evans and brothers, Alan and Billy. Shirley was employed at Eaton's for 10 years and Federated Mutual Life Insurance Co. for 36 years. She was a lifelong member of St. James Anglican Church serving on the Alter Guild as treasurer and singing in the choir. She worked with the Cub Scouts for 21 years. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 2nd floor at Grace Hospital for their excellent care. Memorial service will take place on Monday, August 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
