Mary was born on the family farm in Green Oak, MB, to John and Katie Urbanski. Mom married Lawrence Steffes and resided on the family farm in Cromwell, MB. Mom enjoyed life. She always said life was special as were her brothers and sisters, children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. Mom was a very kind, generous and giving person. She was always ready for a new adventure. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Lorraine Gray (Doug), Shaun (Mary Hogan) - Leah, Trent; Shannon, Shane Gray; Maryanne Dolenuk (Andy), Kris (Samantha Probetts), Matt; Joan Fyvie (Phil Gentle), Tammy (Ralph Kloeppel) - Chantal and Michael Kovacs; Gordon (Bonnie Hladun), Kristen (Jarred Bremner) Brooklynn; Toni; Danny (Kathy), Brett, Evan, William; special nephew Brian Hrynyk; sisters, Adeline Post, Victoria Modjeski, Bertha (Joe) Pfeifer, Eleanor (Bob) Srutowski; sisters-in-law, Lillian Ilchena, Mary Lozinski, Clara Steffes; and all her nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Lawrence in 1998; brothers, Joe and Henry Urbanski; sister-in-law Susie Urbanski; brothers-in-law, Leo Post, Julian Ilchena, Ed Modjeski and John Steffes. Prayers will be said on Monday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB on Tuesday, August 15 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Fr. David Brabant presiding. Pallbearers are grandsons, Shaun and Shane Gray, Kris and Matt Dolenuk, Brett, Evan and William Steffes and great-grandson Michael Kovacs.
