ELIZABETH LOUISE TESKEY (nee BROUSSEAU) 1920 - 2006 After a brief illness, mother passed away at Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, August 10, 2006. She was predeceased by her father Elie, brother Norman, mother Anna, brother Fred and sister Alice Mitchell. Mother is survived by her sister Blanche Hillbig of Salt Lake City, UT; her daughters, Carole (Alvin) Giesbrecht, Winnipeg, MB, Dorothy of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands; son, Glen of Winnipeg, seven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Mother was born in Melville, SK on January 1, 1920. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1932 where she attended school at St. Edwards, Notre Dame de Lourdes, grades eight and nine, Kelvin High School, and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. After raising her children and working various jobs, she became a nurse's aid at St. Norbert Lodge. Retiring in 1984, she travelled extensively. On her passing, she was a 50-year member of St. Ignatius Parish and prayed for others devotedly. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 15 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with Rev. Fr. Johnson officiating. May God bless her soul.
