FRED ZYGANOK On Thursday, August 3, 2006 at St. Joseph's Residence in Winnipeg, Fred quietly passed away at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his loving wife Alexandra in 2004. Relatives, son Peter Zyganok (Kramatorsk, Ukraine), Maria Zabelena (Kramatorsk, Ukraine), Tatiana Monakova (St. Petersbourgh, Russia), and respective nieces and nephews survive him. Fred will always be remembered as an intelligent, loyal and considerate gentleman. He, without fail, would offer a helping hand in any way possible. His many talents allowed him to help everyone, whether to help build, repair or grow something. He was interested in everything from local neighborhood happenings to world politics. He was also a very devout man who fully supported his church for the comfort and peace that it provided him. He with his late dear wife, Alexandra, would spend much of their time and efforts in preserving their church. In his passing, in addition to his relatives, he will be missed by many friends, neighbors and acquaintances. His longtime dear friends Yuri and Bozanna Merkulov will especially miss him. In addition, he will be deeply missed by his Godson George Hordienko and family. Friends and family would like to thank all the special staff at St. Joseph's Residence for the wonderful care and attention given to him during his stay. In place of any flowers please make donations in Fred's memory to his church which was an important part of his life. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 15, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Church, 732 Alfred Ave. Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m., also at the church, with Rev. Fr. Raphael Vereshack presiding. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
