WILFRED ARTHUR CANDY 1933 2006 Suddenly but peacefully after a very short but courageous battle with cancer, Wilf passed away at Boundry Trails Health Centre on August 13, 2006. He is survived and will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Anita of 47 years; four sons, Carey (Leslie), Dale (Susan), Dave and Tim; one daughter Debbie (Al); grandchildren, Amber-Lee, Tiffany, Jeremy, Dalton, Chantel, Sheena and Justin; one great-granddaughter Victoria-Lynn; two brothers, Gord (Sue) and Fred (Emily) of Ontario; and many brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Wilf was born in Toronto on January 22, 1933. He moved to Winnipeg in the late 1950's where he met Anita and married in 1959. Wilf worked as a salesman for Canada Dry, Hostess, Northdale Enterprises then Grimm Meats till he retired in 1991, where he and Anita spent their retired years in La Riviere, MB. Growing up dad spent many years in coaching and bringing up us kids in sports between travelling with his jobs. Dad's biggest compassions were golfing and gardening in the summer and spending winter months in Florida until the last few years. The family wishes to thank all the nurses and doctors at St. Boniface Hospital and Boundry Trails Health Center for their great care and compassion they gave to the family and dad. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A private interment will take place at a later date.
