Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIAN (HUGHIE) WINIARZ December 10, 1922 August 14, 2006 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Julian (Hughie) Winiarz. Hughie was predeceased by his wife Theda, parents Anthony and Katherine, and his brother Edward. He will be missed by his children John and wife Agathe, Janice and husband David, Bryon and wife Diana, and special grandchildren Catherine, Camille, Jocelyn, Jessica, Alexis, and Selina, his brother Elmer and wife Angela and sister-in-law Jean. In 1943, he left Canada for Holland with the Canadian Air Force. He spent two years overseas and returned to Winnipeg. Soon after he married Theda and they were happily married for 51 years. Hughie was a hardworking and industrious man, having a long career in the heating business. He was always building and working on projects, his most rewarding being his cottage at Bird Lake, where he enjoyed years of blueberry picking, fishing, and just enjoying the outdoors. He and Theda enjoyed many winter holidays with family and friends. He was a kind and gentle man who always showed a positive outlook on life. He will be greatly missed. Dad, you are finally home. Our thanks to the staff at Concordia House for their care, compassion and good nature. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 288 Donwood Dr. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hughie's memory to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
