STEFANY ADELINE BURNS After a courageous and feisty battle with leukemia, Adeline passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on August 14, 2006. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Patrick. Adeline leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her loss, her daughter Patricia Johnson (Robert); grandchildren, Lara (Marc Brown) and Michael; sister Jean Tighe; brother Jim Sesak (Mayvis); and many nieces, nephews and cousins who meant a great deal to her. Mom was born in East Kildonan on December 28, 1924. She lived most of her life in East Kildonan/Elmwood area, moving on July 10, to Dakota House. Mom loved her home (of 53 years) and enjoyed her neighbours. She also enjoyed her new home at Dakota House and quickly made friends with her new neighbours in the building. Mom worked most of her life in the printing trade and then moved to the C.W.B. on August 27, 1974 and retired on December 7, 1989. Patrick and Adeline were married on November 2, 1946 and spent 50 years together. They enjoyed their trips to Hawaii and their gambling trips to Vegas. They dearly loved each other and she missed dad very much. There has been quite a reunion in heaventhe crib board is outthe cards are dealt. Special thanks to her niece Lyn Colwell who took such great care of mom when she was taken to emergency. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 18 at 9:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. followed by interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
