Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD KING BRYAN January 24, 1922 - August 14, 2006 Peacefully with his wife and family by his side, Dad passed away at the age of 84. He will be remembered by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Betty ; sons, Ron (Doreen), Rob (Elaine); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Charlie; sisters, Izabel, Elsie, and Corinne. Ron was predeceased by his daughter Connie, brothers Fred and Bill. Dad was born in Tonkin, SK. He lived on the farm until enlisting in the Army in 1942 - 1946 as a gunner. He served in Canada, Britain and Northwest Europe. In Holland he met the love of his life Betty, and they were married at the end of the war and came back to Canada. They started a life in Yorkton, SK in 1956. They moved to Winnipeg and dad started work at C.N.R. until retirement at 65. In retirement, dad enjoyed trips to Hawaii, golfing, bowling and spending time with family. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 18, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A special thank you is extended to the nurses and staff at Lion's Manor Personal Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
