MARGARET ELSIE BARKER Peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Victoria General Hospital our loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 84. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg. After marrying Norman in May 1947, she lived and raised her family in St. Vital. Mom was always active either bowling, playing bridge or bingo. She also loved to knit and spend time with her family. In September 2005 mom became a resident of Vista Park Lodge and was known for her quick wit and humour. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years Norman, son Bruce, daughter Brenda (Robert) Fontaine, daughter Bev (Brad) Wallis, granddaughters; Michelle, Monique, Heather and Samantha and four great-grandchildren. At mom's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Vista Park Lodge, 144 Nova Vista Dr., Winnipeg or a charity of one's choice.
