MORRIS GOLDBERG It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Morris Goldberg at the Grace Hospital on August 14, 2006. Funeral services were held at Shaarey Zedek synagogue, interment at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery on August 15. Morris was predeceased by his ten loving brothers and sisters. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 59 years, Rita; his loving children, Madeline Blok (Herman), Anita Rocan (Denis), and Gary Goldberg (Diane); devoted grandchildren, Lisa (Scott), Tracy (Jason), Danielle (Paul), Adam (Marie-Pier), Michael and Sarah; and very special great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan. Also extended family Shaun (Devi), Shian (Kevin) and KJ, Joshua and Dilan. After leaving school early in his life to help support his family, Morris entered the air force and was stationed in Calgary. After leaving the air force Morris and his brothers opened Goldberg Bros. Ltd., one of the first manufacturers of ladies coats in Western Canada. He was a member of the Hebrew Fraternal Lodge, Maple Leaf curling and many bowling leagues. He spent his free time with his family, totally devoted to his children and in the later years was a constant companion to his brothers Al and Jake. The family would like to extend thanks to the Doctors and staff at the Grace Hospital, and to his Doctors Bartlett and Rabson. Also special thanks to Marianne his Monday morning friend . If friends and family so desire donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
