Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE GUZZI (nee FALVO) It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Guzzi on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 80 years. Rose will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years Agostino and daughter Gio / Joan (Karen). She is also survived by her sisters, Frances, Kay and their families; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Anna Guzzi, Felicie Guzzi, Luigi Guzzi (Italy), Rosina Marsico (Italy), Angelo Guzzi, Francesca Guzzi (Argentina) and their families. She is predeceased by her son Frank; parents, Felicia and Luigi Falvo; sister Mary; brother Pete; brothers-in-law, Carlo Guzzi, Pat Ianiero, Domenico Pallone. Mom was born in Transcona on July 21, 1926 and later moved to Winnipeg after getting married. Prior to having her children Rose was employed with Eatons in the mail order department. Rose was a devoted mother and wife and her family was very important to her. Mom prided herself on being a good hostess, fabulous cook and always welcomed people into her home graciously. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, August 22 at 8:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 23 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Entombment will take place in Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. Pallbearers will be Rose's nieces, Filomena Schellenberg, Phyllis Smith, Linda Mauthe, Rosalba Guzzi, Maria Gagliardi, Laura Rossi, Francesca Hawthorne, Rosemary, Lorraine, Joanne Guzzi, Giovanna Abiusi. Honorary Pallbearers will be her nephews, Frank Guzzi, Tony Guzzi, Lucio Guzzi, Gino Guzzi, Al Guzzi, Frank Guzzi and Michele Ianiero With much appreciation and gratitude for the staff of the 4th floor 4B St. Boniface Hospital who skillfully and lovingly took care of Mom for the last three months.
