PATRICIA ANN SAVAGE (nee HOGG) Peacefully, on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, Patricia passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Patricia is survived by her husband Tom, and their three furry friends, Sara Jane, Sally Ann, and Sophie Mae; sisters, Louisa (Ron) Leitch and Mary Hogue; nieces and nephews, April Leitch, Brenda (Brian) Maxwell, Chris Leitch (Judy), godson Derrick Leitch (Debra), Matthew Hogue (Angela), and Peter Hogue; great niece Jensen, great nephews, Coby, Malik, Tyrese, Gabriel, and Cole, with another niece or nephew expected in December that Pat was so looking forward to. She will also be missed by her many friends. She was predeceased by her mother Edith Hogg, her father, John Hogg and her baby brother Gilbert. Patricia was born on February 4, 1947, and grew up in the Norwood area attending Nordale and Queen Elizabeth Schools and Nelson McIntyre Collegiate. She joined international Order of Job's Daughters at 12 years of age and served as Honoured Queen of Bethel #2 in 1966. Patricia loved to sing, and joined St. Phillips Church choir in 1959 where she was a faithful member for more than 25 years. She started working at MTS in 1966, continuing for eights years before leaving due to illness. In 1972 Patricia married Tom. Together, with their many animals they led a happy married life, living in the West End. From her schools days, she made one special, lifelong friendship with Connie, who resides in Edmonton. Although Connie hasn't been here in person, she was always here in spirit and support for Pat through all these years. In 1979, Pat and several colleagues were instrumental in forming the Arthritis Self Help Group Inc. where she served as secretary and fundraiser for many years. During this time she made many friendships, including two special ones, Eileen and Corrie, who have supported her in both good and bad times. Pat was a devoted supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, attending practices at Canada Packers in the early days, and a season ticket holder for many years. Another interest she enjoyed was working at Tim Horton's on their Kids Camp Day . Thanks go out to Dr. Robinson, all the medical staff of Home Care, especially Lorelei and Diane, the nurses from WRHA, Yvonne and Elma, all the staff at Riverview Health Centre Ward 3E Palliative, especially Lorraine, Barb and Dr. Garcia. A very special thank you to Dr. Kalansky who has gone above and beyond her capacity as a doctor in support and friendship to both Pat and Tom. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 24 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. with Rev. Diane Guilford officiating. Cremation and interment have already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3, or the Salvation Army, P.O.
