DOMENICO DI LORETO Peacefully, with his family at his side, Domenico Di Loreto, aged 77, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Domenico will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Filomena; mother Rosa; daughter Rosa (Peter) Raimondi; son Joe (Christina); grandchildren, Christina, Marco and Mario Raimondi and Sabrina Di Loreto; brother Mariano; sister Laura Falco and Anna Di Cino and numerous other relatives in Italy and Canada. He was predeceased by his father Antonio; brother Angelo; infant son Valentino Antonio and grandson Sandro Di Loreto. Domenico was born in Torricella Peligna (Abruzzo) and immigrated to Canada in 1962 to start a new life with his family. He was employed at D. Cohn Trans Canada until his retirement in 1992. He and Filomena moved to B.C. after his retirement to be close to their son Joe and his family. They moved back to Winnipeg in 2004. Domenico was a very gentle, kind hearted person, who worked hard for his family and always saw the good in everybody. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff of the Seven Oaks and St. Boniface Hospitals for all their kindness. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 21 at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22. Interment will take place at the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum with a reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9.
