MATSUNOSUKE SHIBUYA It is with great sorrow that the family announces the death of Matsunosuke Shibuya at 100 years of age on August 12, 2006. He was a devoted and loving husband and father - a man of honour and self-discipline with strong Christian commitment. His wife of 70 years, Chiye, had passed away earlier this year on June 14. He will be greatly missed by his seven children, Machiko Bruzina (Ronald), Sayoko Jenkinson (Derek), Yumiko, Douglas (Betty), Betty Sheldrake (Blake), Arthur and Sally; and eight grandchildren, Mikelle, David and Kara Bruzina, Kimberly Head (Steve) and Natalie Sheldrake, Erika Jenkinson, Jennifer Guenther (Tom) and Christopher Shibuya. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends in Japan, the United States and Canada, including Adam Wood and Shaun Allen. A memorial service celebrating their life will be held at the MJCCC on Saturday, June 16, 2007. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local Japanese cultural centre or charitable organizations that help the elderly.
