GINETTE BELAIR (nee TREMBLAY) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our maman and grandmaman Ginette, born in St.Boniface on March 21, 1927. Maman was predeceased by her beloved Denis on April 10, 1979. Her memory will be forever cherished by her four loving children, Suzanne, Louise (Otto) Schroeder, Jean (Gisele), Paul (Jennifer Hebert); as well as her nine grandchildren, Geoffrey, Jeremy, Trevor, Denis, Gilles, Evan, Kaylen, Cameron and Leigh. Family members left to mourn are sisters, Suzanne Tremblay of Montreal, Jeannine (Gaston) Tessier of Quebec; brothers, Roland Tremblay of Montreal, Bernard (Edna) Tremblay from Ile-des-Chênes, MB; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Léveillé, Françoise Belair and Renée Trembay of Winnipeg; brothers-in-law, Léo Rémillard of Winnipeg, Paul Lavallée and Thomas Boucher of Montreal, Marcel Belair of Vancouver; along with many nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention. The family however wishes to acknowledge one special niece, Louise Ulrich who was always there for her. Ginette lived life to the fullest and was known for her family get-togethers, specifically her numerous parties at her summer cottage in St. Laurent and her Christmas gatherings in Winnipeg. She was the conduit for family ties and was always there in times of need. Thanks to all the caring staff from the 5th floor at the Taché Centre who took such good care of Mom. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23 at the St. Boniface Cathedral. Interment will take place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Ginette's eight-year-old grandson Kaylen to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1101 191 Lombard Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3B 0X1 (phone: 953-4477).
