HENRY ERWIN MEISNER Peacefully on August 18, 2006, at his residence, Erwin (Pete) Meisner, aged 65 years of Moosehorn, MB. Pete was born October 24, 1940 on the family farm in the Baton District. He married Sigrun Bjornson on July 20, 1963. They had two sons, Peter and Steven whom they raised in Winnipeg. In 1989, Dad met Margret Ashley and they lived in Winnipeg until Dad's retirement from Canada Wire Cable in 1995, after 32 years of service. Pete and Margret moved back to Moosehorn where he spent his time gardening, ditch fishing, riding his lawn tractor and sitting in his chair watching game shows. Left to cherish his memory, his best friend and companion Margret; his son Peter (Maureen); his former wife Sigrun; daughter-in-law Lori (James) Neufeld and their son Eric; siblings Tillie, Lydia, Helen (Wilfred), Myrtle (Tom), Allie (Happy), Harry (Helen), Richie, Reinhold, Carl, Alfred (Rosemary), Ernie (Jackie) and brother-in-law John Fuchs, also many nieces, nephews and friends; Margret's daughters, Charlotte (Richard), Leona (George), Janet (Paul), Bridgette (Abe), Margie (Devon) and also by his special buddies Cody and Andrea. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Emma; son Steven; sisters, Martha and Elise; brothers, Edward, William and Raymond; sisters-in- law, Grace and Erma; brothers-in-law, Fred, Elmer and Ray. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moosehorn Community Hall with Pastor Jane Zinken officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Thomas Cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the Hall. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian Meisner. Active pallbearers will be Marvin Iverson, Dennis Meisner, Lisa Cook, Duane Nachtigall, Karl Hasse and Cheryl Schamber.
