ELVIN WILLIAM BARKMAN In the early morning hours of Saturday, August 19, 2006, our dear brother Elvin, age 67, passed away after a lengthy respiratory illness. Elvin was born on February 26, 1939 in Steinbach, MB. He leaves to mourn his brother, Gilbert; sisters, Dianne Inman (Roy) and Mary Anne Wiebe (Peter); four nieces, four nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Martin B. Barkman (1987) and Agnes T. Wiens Barkman (1979); sister Linda (1971), and brothers, Randolph (1962) and Clifford (2004). A family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 23 in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Our family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff on 4East of the Deer Lodge Centre, who made Elvin's last two years of his life so enjoyable there. He truly felt he was at home. We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Chaplain Pat Ferris. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elvin's memory may be made to Deer Lodge Centre Foundation, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3J 0L3.
