Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN LAW It is with regret that we announce the sudden passing of John Leslie Law, of Lundar, MB, on August 19, 2006. Our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was born in Cypress River, MB, on July 27, 1929. Les was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Margaret; his first wife Alice (Fenton); his second wife Dorothy (Shotton); brothers, George, Albert, Ken and Richard; sisters-in-law, Edith and Mildred; brothers-in-law, Henry, Bill and George Fenton, Rene Kergen; and a nephew Bobby Kergen. Left to cherish his memories are children, Bruce (Brenda), Donald (Darlene), Marg (Wayne), Gerald (Lorna) and Vernon (Lori); sister Edith Kergen; sister-in-law Gladys Law; brother-in-law Bruce (Dixie) Fenton; sister-in-law Arva (Ross) Fyfe; extended family, Doug (Gail), Ken (Jan), Greg (Colleen), Susanne (Dave), Wayne (Christine) and Linda (Ron); as well as 35 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Les moved from Cypress River to Winnipeg where he owned a cartage business and later worked for Winnipeg Transit. In 1964 they moved to Lundar to farm. Les drove school bus for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, guiding, travelling and restoring John Deer tractors. Dad was often called upon by neighbours to help repair their farm machinery, which he did willingly. He also enjoyed touring the country and attending auction sales. Dad also like to occasionally try his luck at the casinos. At Dad's request, a memorial service will be held at the Lundar Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Fortin, Lawrence King, Lloyd Bissett, Don Lindal, Steini Palsson and Rick Miller. Special thanks to the home care workers, friends and neighbours for their visits and acts of kindness over the last year. In Dad's memory, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Your struggle is over Dad, rest in peace. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD.
