Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRANT HARVEY BELL It is with sadness our family announces the sudden passing of Grant on Sunday, August 20, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 72. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years Jean; his son Terry (Colleen); and daughters, Hazel (Stewart), Shirley-Ann, Kimberley (Greg); grandchildren Jacob, Stephen, Matthew, Martina, Brock, Jason, Samantha, Jonathon, Hunter and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Wattis (Arthur) and Barbara Bell, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Grant was born in Winnipeg, MB. After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy, he began his career as a plumber in 1961. This continued until health problems led to a move working at the Fort Rouge Legion until his retirement at 65. Grant was a 50 year member of the Legion and enjoyed playing cribbage and bowling with fellow members and friends. He also loved his time in the garden, planting flowers and golfing. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fort Rouge and Imperial Veteran's Legion #252, 426 Osborne Street with a reception following.
