PAUL PETRICK It is with profound sadness that the family of Paul Petrick announces his passing on Sunday, August 20, 2006, at Seven Oaks Hospital. Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife Lillian; siblings, Nicolas, William, Peter, Alexander and Jenny. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Brenda (James); grandsons, Matthew (Kristine) and David; sister Sophie; and numerous nephews and nieces. Father was born and raised in Winnipeg and spent most of his adult life living on Manitoba Avenue. He was employed for 46 years at Manitoba Bridge and Engineering. Father was a member of St. John Cantius Parish for well over fifty years and a senior member of the Canadian Polish Athletic Club where he worked tirelessly to promote the value of sporting activities for young people in the North End of the city. Dad was the cornerstone of our family. He was a man of internal strength, honor, and his word was his bond. Family was of utmost importance to him and father cherished the presence of his grandsons in his life who were of immeasurable support. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, at 1:30 p.m. in St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Avenue with Rev. Henryk Uczniak officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion as well as the homecare workers, particularly Colleen, who provided so much assistance to grandpa since grand-mothers' death. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
