MARION JOYCE DUCHARME It is with sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Marion Ducharme on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 67 years. Left to cherish Marion's memory are her children, Leonard (Adele), Lillian, Michael (Tessa), David (Vida); grandchildren, Jason (Crystal), Sherri (Dave), Tammy, Kevin (Sandy), Suzanne, Marcianna, Kalina; and her great- grandchild Braiden. She will also be remembered by her sister Jean Kuzmack and Larry Grabowski. Marion was predeceased by her loving husband Maurice Ducharme in 1993. She was born and raised in South Transcona, and eventually moved to St. Vital where she and Maurice raised their four children. She enjoyed helping Maurice run their family business, Len's Trucking, and after his passing continued on the family tradition until 1998. She eventually started working for Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2002 due to medical reasons. Prayer service to be held on Thursday, August 24, at 7:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Emile's Church, 556 St. Anne's Rd., with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sherri Grabowski, Tammy Ducharme, Vida Ducharme, Jason Ducharme, Kevin Grabowski, and Larry Grabowski, and honourary pallbearers Leonard Ducharme, and Don Kilborne. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Victoria General Hospital, Emergency Ward, as well as the staff at Vista Park Lodge. In lieu of flowers the family would like a donation made on Marion's behalf to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J COUTU CO.
