Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE PARACHOLSKI Peacefully, on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the Betel Home in Gimli, MB, Anne Paracholski passed away at the age of 100 years. She will be sadly missed by her son and daughter-in-law Norman and Jean Paracholski; son-in-law Bob Debison; grandchildren Bruce (Jennifer) Paracholski, Randy (Kathy) Paracholski, Yvette Riley, Michele Allan; great-grandchildren Tyler, Lindsay, Hannah, Carly, Meagan, Robbie, Rachel, Ceceila, Matthew, and Kirkland; a sister Kay; and numerous friends and relatives. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Marko and Helen Zacharkiw; husband Nicholas; daughter Edna; and brothers and sisters, Peter, Carolyn, Marion, Mike, Tom, Francis and Stanley. She was born in Fraserwood, MB on November 23, 1905. Anne went to school up to grade 5 and then worked in many hotels and resorts across Canada and the United States. After her travel adventures she came back to Gimli and married Nick. They lived a hard life on the farm and raised two children, Norman and Edna. Anne enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, berry and mushroom picking. Later, she moved to the town of Gimli and lived at New Haven Lodge where she carpet bowled in the winter and gardened in the summer. A few years ago she moved to the Betel Home where staff treated her with compassionate care. Anne will be lovingly remembered as Baba to all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Gimli with Fr. Wayne Morrissey officiating. A viewing will be held one-half hour prior to Mass. Her grandchildren will be her pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's memory can be made to the Betel Home Foundation, Box 50, Gimli, MB, R0C 1B0. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
