FLORENCE MAY FOXFORD Peacefully on August 23, 2006, Florence passed away at Golden West Centennial Lodge. Florence was predeceased by her husband A. Colston Foxford (Foxy); sister Jean Young; parents, James Malcom Fraser White and Jessie Middlemiss Brown. She is survived by her sons, Don of Vancouver, Bob (Sue Drouin) of Montreal; daughters, Marilyn of Canmore, Margo (Giles Bugailiskis); granddaughters, Summer and McKenna of Montreal. Florence was born in High Bluff, MB, moving to Winnipeg as a young child and later moving to Moose Jaw, SK where she went to school. She returned to Winnipeg where she spent the rest of her life. Florence graduated from the Winnipeg School of Art in 1935 with L.L. Fitzgerald as the principal and teacher. She was married in 1946 to A. Colston Foxford (Foxy) and enjoyed 54 years together. They were long time residents on Corydon Avenue. Mom worked for a few years teaching Nursery School at St. George's Cresentwood, a job she loved. She dedicated her life to her family, loved having the family for Sunday dinners and was know for her baking. After Foxy's retirement Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling to Hawaii and Mexico. The family would like to express their appreciation to Golden West Centennial Lodge, Mom's home for the last two years; for the love, care and friendship they provided. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Mom's boys , Graham and Vince for their love and dedication. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, at 2:00 p.m. at Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd. (Corner of Ness and School Rd.)
