Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH TATARYN ( AKA Joe Duck ) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Tataryn on Sunday, August 20, 2006. Our father and grandfather was born in Poland on September 30, 1927 to Anton and Sophie Tataryn. At age 10 Dad emigrated to Canada with his mother to join his father who had emigrated before them. Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife Anne on December 16, 1997. Left to cherish his memories are sons Will (Charlotte), Ron (Cynthia); his only grandchild Ainslee; brother Walter (Roselle); mother-in-law Mary Yellowaga; sister-in-law Esther Korol; brother-in-law Randy (Cathy) Yellowaga; as well as nieces and nephews. Dad worked at and retired from East - West Packers after over 40 years of employment. Dad's greatest passion in life was training horses. To many, Dad was respectfully known as Joe Duck the trainer. Dad spent many years patching up castoffs and cripples knowing so well the intricacies of thoroughbred leg repair. Dad made many friends during the course of his life and will be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank for their care. At his request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Dad, Grandpa, you will be missed.
