MARY LYDIA O'LEARY (nee FEHR) May 5, 1931 - August 21, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary O'Leary, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mary died at 11:20 a.m. on Monday, August 21, at the Saint Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, BC. She went peacefully with her family at her side. Mary was predeceased by her husband Frank, parents Cornelius and Justina, sister, Margaret and brothers John and Melvin. Left to mourn her passing are her four children, Brian (Katherine), Lorraine (Gabriel), Paul (Gay) and Valerie; grandchildren Brietta, Kevin, Adrian, Dominic, Sarah, Erin and Jonah; sister Anne (Henry); many nieces and nephews; cousin and special friend Marge, whom she shared many pleasant times with in Kerrisdale. Mary lived a full life and had many diverse interests. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She loved books, music, ballet and all things artistic. She cared deeply for needy children everywhere and gave generously to many causes that worked to improve the quality of life for all children. Her deepest commitment however was to her faith and to her church. Her faith in God was unshakeable and her love of God was infinite. Mary will be sadly missed by the many people whose lives she touched. Mary's family wishes to extend their warmest thanks to the staff of the SICU at St. Paul's Hospital for their kindness and compassion to Mary and to them. A memorial service will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, on Tuesday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
