CLIFFORD MOFFAT ULYATT January 24, 1918 - August 19, 2006 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of Cliff Ulyatt at the Riverview Health Centre. Dad is now with the love of his life, Kay, wife of 56 years. He was predeceased by his wife Kay in 2002 and brother George in 2000. He will be greatly missed by son Norman (Marian); daughter Carol (Alex) Ord; grandchildren, Janice (Darryl) Boch, Greg (Beckie) Ulyatt of Princes Risborough, England and Scott Ord; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley and Kyle Boch, MacKenzie and Sabene Ulyatt and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad grew up on Home Street and lived his entire life in Winnipeg. He attended and graduated from Daniel MacIntyre collegiate. He was a proud Canadian who served during the Second World War in the RCAF as a radar technician. His entire career of almost 40 years was spent in the insurance industry, mostly with the Canadian Surety Co. He retired as General Manger in 1983. Dad led an active social life enjoying bowling, membership in the Blue Goose and the Winnipeg Rotary Club. He was an avid golfer - a member of the Niakwa Country Club for over 40 years. Friends and family will fondly remember Cliff and Kay's annual Christmas Eve parties on McNaughton Avenue. Cliff and Kay travelled the world extensively and developed many fond friendships and memories. Family was always first and foremost to Dad. He loved life, people and was always quick with a smile. He will always be remembered for his sense of humour and positive outlook on life. Our home was one where friends were welcome at any time. The family would like to thank Dr. Crow and the staff of 3E at Riverview Health Centre who cared for Dad during his final weeks. Their compassion and caring is greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service of Cliff's life will be held on Friday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made in Cliff's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of your choice. We will miss you and remember you always.
