CHRISTINE REGINA DORIS PALENDAT February 23, 1972 - August 23, 2006 Christine was born in Portage La Prairie, MB to Colleen Whyte and Dwight Palendat where she lived until 1978 when she moved to Winnipeg with her mother and sister. Christine also lived in Vancouver, San Fransisco, and Protection Island (BC). She moved back to Winnipeg in 1999 to be a real Auntie to her nephew Quinlahn. Christine had many passions. Among them are music, travelling, art, reading, animals and candy. Christine's generous loving spirit is appreciated by friends, family, and often strangers. Her sense of humour could be counted on to relieve tense situations and give the receiver the best laugh they'd had in years. She was a loyal friend and a formidable foe. She was proud of both. Christine loved children, and children loved her. She had an effortless way of dealing with them and could always be counted on to find something different and fun to do. Her work enriched the lives of many people who live with disabilities. The courageous way Christine worked through monumental challenges in her life is an inspiration to all who know and love her. Christine will be welcomed with love and joy by many people as she reaches her new destination. They include her father (Dwight Palendat); nephew (Quinlahn Angel D. Palendat); grandfathers, (Arthur Palendat and Derwood White); grandmothers, (Doris Palendat-Haubrech and Edith White); great- grandma (Regina Palendat); uncle (Derwood Whyte); aunties, (Sherrie Palendat-Hodgins, Inez and Leona); cousins, (Blake, Glen and Ashton), Emmett, Tupperdog and Zoe the pug. Wishing her a tearful farewell are: her mother (Colleen Whyte); her sister (Deanna Palendat); aunties (Elaine, Donna Marj); uncle (Larry Whyte), Tusha and Emma Jade; soul brother Adam Hannibal; and many cousins; as well as many dear friends especially: Monique, Melissa, Zoe, Laurie and Marco, and Zack-cat. I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm alive My baby you'll be. - Robert Munsch Christine's life will be celebrated Thursday, August 31.
