HAZEL MARGARET ALLEN (nee GREELEY) Hazel was born in Russell, MB on May 12,1917. She joined Dad August 25, 2006. Mum was a strong willed woman, and respected and loved. She was predeceased by Dad, Clarence Elbern Allen and her brother Robert Greeley. She is survived by three children; Linda Mae (Peter), Robert (Mary-Ellen), and Charles; seven grandchildren Cory, Ronald, Christina, Andrew, Samantha, Margaret-Lea, and Elizabeth, and three great grandchildren Hannah, Sean, and Emily, and her two sisters Eleanor Greeley and Kathleen Yanda. Mum was wise and supportive, always willing to help where she could. During her lifetime she held several positions, beginning as a clerk in the Municipal Office of Birtle, and a clerk in the Municipal Office of Morden (where she met Dad). She worked for Family Law (in the old Law Courts building, Winnipeg), the Municipal Office of Brooklands and the Winnipeg Convalescent Home. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming an LPN at the age of 54. Mum nursed until she was 65 at the HSC, loving every shift. Although Mum held several positions, her greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother. Mum, we will miss you, but we will never forget you or what you taught us. You are the best. We appreciate all the assistance and patience given to Hazel and her family by the staff of Third Floor, Unit 4 of the Seven Oaks General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seven Oaks Emergency Fund. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 29, 2006 at Klassen Funeral Home, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday August 31 at the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church , N.E. Wardlaw and Nassau N. at 10:00 a.m. A private family interment will take place later in the day at Sunnyside Cemetery. Arrangements in care of: KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson N. Of McIvor 338-0331
