Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL SLOBODIAN September 18, 1919 - August 24, 2006 With sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of husband, father, brother and Dido on August 24, 2006. Sadly missed by his loving wife Kay of 54 years. He is survived by sisters, Mary and Sophie; and brother Harry (Lorraine). Predeceased by his parents Steve and Anne; and brother Johnny. Leaves to mourn five children, Ken, Wayne (Sue), Ron (Colleen), Rosemarie (Carlos) and Dan (Bridgette); grandchildren, Chris (Kara), Chad (Glenna), Matthew, Erin, Greg, Shaun, Dustyn, Jade, Cole and Nash; many relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. Dad was born September 18, 1919 in Tolstoi, MB. Married on November 15, 1952 and settled in Winnipeg for 29 years, Dad owned and operated his own Ukrainian restaurant. He was a great handyman and was always there, helping his family. His greatest love was fishing in the Whiteshell, dancing at the legion and socializing with seniors. Mom and Dad spent many winters in Yuma, AZ. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas.
