Date of Passing: Aug 17, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN DOUGLAS FORD November 6, 1958 August 17, 2006 With sadness we say Goodbye to our dear friend Steve. He left behind an emptiness that will never be filled. Steve was born in Calgary, spent much time traveling across Canada; finally making Winnipeg his home. While in Winnipeg, Steve touched the hearts of all who knew him. He would sit for hours with neighbours sharing life experiences. You could always see a plate of food and water, left on the doorstep for his four legged friends. Animals were one of his greatest loves and for as long as we've known him he always had pets. His other greatest love were his friends who quickly became his family. He always had a smile for everyone and made everyone around him feel special and valued. He had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to make people laugh. Steve was master of trivia, history, chess and current events. Nobody could match minds with Steve. Steve's worldly interests were abundant and his community interests were very apparent. Steve could always be seen sharing what he had with others. He was predeceased by his mother Nellie and his father Stanley. He is survived by his brother Chris. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve's memory to the Heart Stroke Foundation. Steve: You have touched all of our hearts. You left us too soon. You have no idea how much you are missed. Good-bye our friend Till We Meet Again CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
