GLENN WILLIAM EROS June 27, 1953 - August 26, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Glenn Eros at his home near Gunton, MB on August 26, 2006. Glenn leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée Joy and her daughter Leah; his parents, Willie and Marge Eros; his brothers and sisters and their families, Craig and Shelley, Randy and Solange, Susan and Rob, Barb and John; his aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his many friends. Glenn lived his life with a passion for everything he undertook. He had a life long love for music, playing keyboards with various bands over the years. In the 1970s with his brother Craig, formed the band Eros. He toured with Raintree and the Small Time Hoods. He spent many hours in the recording studio. More recently spent time jamming with friends and playing local gigs with his band Triple Play. Glenn worked at various jobs before becoming Operations Manager at Rockridge Turkey Breeder Farm Ltd. near Gunton in the late 1980s. Glenn enjoyed many activities, always with enthusiasm. He was an avid reader, an amateur astronomer and a trained ambulance attendant. Glenn liked travelling and had fond memories of his trip to Equador and the Galapagos. He was proud of his Scottish heritage and enjoyed his trip to Scotland. Glenn spent many hours enjoying the night sky with his telescope. To honour his memory, his family has purchased a star next to Grandma's star in the Big Dipper from the Manitoba Planetarium. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Glenn Eros to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Chapter, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2 or the World Wildlife Fund, phone 1-800-267-2632 or mail 410-245 Eglinton Ave. E., Toronto, ON M4P 3J1. A memorial service will be held at Mackenzie Funeral Chapel, Highway #7, Teulon, MB, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Glenn made me a heart shaped mirror for my 21st birthday. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever owned. I'm almost 60 now and and it is still one of the most beautiful things I own! RIP Glenn. Thank you for all the great memories! - Posted by: Katie (Friend) on: Jul 06, 2013
