He married Elizabeth Sandorfi and moved to Vac, Hungary, where they raised two sons. The family immigrated to Canada in 1977. Leaving Communist Hungary; he wanted a better life for his family. At the age of 55 he began a new life. Dad was a tool and dye maker who had a passion for woodworking. One of his greatest joys was when he started Pannonia Homes Building Company with his sons. Dad was a compassionate, caring, loving and gentle man, who was always there to help his family and friends. After Mom's passing in 2002, Dad learned the skills of cooking and baking to continue Mom's traditions. At 80 he became a wonderful cook and baked fabulous Hungarian cakes and tortes. We all loved his soup and cakes he made for all our special occasions. Dad's other great joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was happiest watching them play and listening to them practice their piano, Melayna will miss making Grandpa grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. You were a wonderful Dad and Grandpa, we love you dearly. We will all miss you. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff of the Ambulance Service and Victoria Hospital Emergency Unit. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 5:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
