Dad lived in the Westwood area for more than 45 years and most recently he was a resident of the Heritage Lodge Care Home. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Mary Elizabeth (Molly) in 2004; and by his sister Nelle and brothers, Clarence, Arnold and Roy Webb. Dad is survived by his daughter Terry-Lynne Gardner (Tom) of Chilliwack, BC; his son Bob (Susan); his granddaughters, Terry-Lynn Anderson (Curtis), and Robyn Corrie Webb; and his newborn great-granddaughter Morley Anderson, all of Winnipeg. Dad was born and raised in Brandon, MB the son of Alderman Bill and Alice Webb. Upon completing high school Bunt began his career in the hotel business in Brandon as assistant manager of the Prince Edward Hotel. He was transferred to Winnipeg by CN Hotels in 1955 to be assistant manger of the Fort Garry Hotel. Later, Dad joined Gordon Hotels as manager of the Assiniboine Hotel in St. James where he worked for 20 years until his retirement in 1981. He was an active member of the St. James Chamber of Commerce and made many friends during his years in the community. Dad enjoyed the outdoors both in his youth and in his later years. He was an active fisherman and sportsman hunting waterfowl and upland game birds. He particularly liked camping and fishing around the lakes of North west Ontario. His other passion was horse racing and he was widely regarded as an expert handicapper with a well developed system for predicting the outcome of a race. During their retirement years, Mom and Dad always looked forward to their annual winter vacation to either Los Angeles or Las Vegas and made those journeys many times. Back in Winnipeg, Norm was an avid gardener who loved to tend the flowers and tomatoes in his yard. Dad lived a long, productive, happy life. Always an optimist, he was kind, outgoing, and gentle. Above all else, he will be remembered for his unconditional love and unwavering support for his family. We'll miss you Grandpa Webb. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Lodge for the kind care they gave Dad these last few months. A service will be held for Norm on Friday morning, September 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Home, 984 Portage Avenue. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
